Australian director of photography based in Dubai with more than 15 years experience in the film, broadcast and television industry. 

Stephen began his career in Melbourne, Australia as a full-time operator in outside broadcast. After several years and with a yearning to expand his skills he moved into the freelance world before ending up in the Dubai

For over 15 years he has worked as a freelance director of photography within the Middle East for networks such as National Geographic, Discovery, ABC America, PBS, Seven Network Australia, Bloomberg, among others.

Besides his work in the UAE Stephen has been involved in productions across the GCC Region, including countries such as Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Within the greater MENA region he has worked in Libya, Turkey, Iraq, Sudan, Djibouti, Egypt and Morocco

This experience translates to an in-depth understanding of the local landscape, as well as a proficiency in finding the best resources for any production

Stephen can bring together a complete professional camera crew, from freelance cameramen and sound engineers to directors, producers and production companies, making sure you get the best level of service and quality possible

He can also provide complete production equipment packages, including camera, lenses, audio, lighting, grip and aerial equipment

Stephen has working expertise on all professional digital cinema cameras from Arri Alexa Mini, Mini LF, Red Gemini and Monstro, Sony and Canon Cameras, as well as speciality cameras such as high speed slow motion cameras and low light cinematography.
